ASHTABULA, Ohio, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — A new smartphone can do a lot, and it may often mean new questions: How do I make sure my battery doesn’t run out during the day? Can I create a text message by speaking into my phone? What’s an “app”? With more than 30 million smartphone customers on its network, Verizon Wireless is making sure smartphone customers – new and experienced – don’t have to look far for answers to any and all questions with free Wireless Workshops, available at participating Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online.
The Verizon Wireless Communications Store located at the Ashtabula Mall, 3315 N. Ridge Rd. East in Ashtabula, is hosting ongoing Android Basic, Android Advanced and Apple iPhone4 Wireless Workshops to help customers get answers to their questions and become more savvy about new technology. Workshop dates for November include:
- Wednesday, Nov. 2: Android Advanced;
- Monday, Nov. 14: Android Basic, and;
- Thursday, Nov. 17: Apple iPhone4.
Media interested in learning about upcoming opportunities for Ashtabula customers or attending a Wireless Workshop, can contact Jennifer Riegert at jriegert@wordsworthweb.com or 513-271-7222 ext. 22.

Verizon Wireless Workshops offer a comprehensive look at what smartphones and other “smart” devices, such as tablets, can do. The in-store workshops are led by specially trained data experts and sales representatives and run between one and two hours in length. Verizon Wireless offers many of the same workshops online in English as well as some in Spanish on-demand at www.verizonwireless.com/workshops.
Customers interested in attending a Wireless Workshop can register online at www.verizonwireless.com/workshops or visit a nearby Verizon Wireless Communications Store for more information.
Customers can also attend live online QA sessions where Verizon Wireless representatives answer participants’ questions about devices and operating systems. A list of upcoming online QA sessions is available on the Wireless Workshops website.
