Verizon Wireless announced it has deployed its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in the greater Sioux City, Iowa area.

Verizon Wireless said its 4G LTE network allows customers to share music and photos, surf the Web and download files up to 10 times faster than before.

The 4G LTE network will be available to customers in the following cities and towns:
- Vermillion, Elk Point, Jefferson and North Sioux City, South Dakota
- South Sioux City and Dakota City, Nebraska
- Salix, Hinton and Sergeant Bluff, Iowa
Coverage will extend north of Sioux City along Interstate 29 to Beresford, S.D. (connecting with the previously launched 4G LTE coverage south of Sioux Falls, South Dakota) and providing continuous coverage along I-29 between the two cities.
