Verizon unveils LG Extravert for pre-paid customers
We know Verizon Wireless is preparing for a hot Christmas shopping season with its portfolio including such high-end devices as Motorola DROID RAZR, HTC Rezound and DROID Nexus Galaxy. However that doesn’t mean the Big Red carrier has forgotten its prepaid customers — they’ve unveiled a new device called LG Extravert for folks who don’t want long-term commitments with mobile operators.
The new device is a mid-range feature phone made for heavy texters. It comes with a 2.8-inch WQVGA (240×400 pixels) touchscreen, side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2-megapixel camera that can take both photos and videos, 1X data (no EV-DO), Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headset jack, media player, web browser, 1000mAh battery and a microSD memory card slot. In addition, LG’s own software supports multiple homescreens, allowing users to quickly access key phone functions and popular social networking services.
Verizon is asking $109.99 for the LG Extravert, though we’re hearing it will be even more affordable through third-party phone retailers like Walmart…
