Verizon Global Wholesale Receives Award from Metro Ethernet Forum




For the second year in a row, Verizon (News – Alert) Global Wholesale has been recognized with Metro Ethernet Forum’s (News – Alert) 2011 Best Wholesale Ethernet Service award, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Best Wholesale Ethernet Service award honors excellence and leadership in the development, marketing and delivery of carrier Ethernet services in the EMEA region. 

The service provider, with the most robust wholesale service offering that extends the reach of Ethernet services to customers, is recognized with this prestigious award.

Verizon Global Wholesale offers a comprehensive suite of Ethernet products with availability around the world, including more than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It continues to extend its network footprint and service options to meet customers’ needs. 

After being judged by an independent panel of senior industry analysts, the company was chosen as the winner of Best Wholesale Ethernet Service award.

“The strength and experience of Verizon Global Wholesale in the Ethernet market is founded on our ability to meet the growing demand for carrier Ethernet services on a global scale,” said Matthew Duckworth, marketing director for Verizon Global Wholesale, in a release.

Verizon Global Wholesale also maintains an increasingly high standard of customer responsiveness.

In addition to this award, the company has also been honored with the prestigious Frost Sullivan (News – Alert) 2011 North American Growth Leadership of the Year award in the carrier Ethernet market.

In related news, Australia-based communications provider Global Gossip has selected Verizon Global Wholesale cloud services to support its 300 sites across Australia, Europe, Fiji, New Zealand, the U.K. and the U.S.
