Verizon Wireless has launched its In Store Trade-In Program that allows Pensacola Bay area customers to get in-store credit for any wireless phone device they no longer use.

The program is now available in Verizon Wireless company-owned stores and kiosks in Pensacola.

“The new In Store Trade-In Program values your existing device for use toward the purchase of a new device,” said Keith Gladhill – director, retail sales, Verizon Wireless. “With this program, customers can trade in their used device and receive a trade-in gift card instantly, to purchase a new smartphone, tablet or accessories.
There is no waiting or sending in your old device. It is simple, secure and instant.”

Individuals also can donate their no-longer-used cell phones to the long-running HopeLine program, which collects devices and accessories to benefit victims of domestic violence.

In addition, HopeLine from Verizon has properly disposed of more than 1.7 million no-longer-used wireless phones and kept more than 210 tons of electronic waste and batteries out of landfills.
