Premium Verizon Retailer Opens New Store on South Lamar

Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, recently announced the opening of its newest store located at 2401 South Lamar Blvd. in Austin.

“Cellular Sales actively seeks new markets and the South Lamar store is a great example of our initiative,” said Bay Willingham, regional director of Cellular Sales. “We work exceptionally hard to expand into markets where there is demand and satisfy customers’ needs for more involved wireless service.”

Cellular Sales – one of the fastest growing retail companies in the nation – currently operates 54 retail locations in Texas and nearly 500 stores across the U.S.

The new store has created six new sales consultant positions, all of which will be filled by local workers.

The company noted the wireless retailer will provide a boost to the local economy in Austin where the unemployment rate in September remained flat at 7.4 percent.

According to Willingham, the Cellular Sales consultants nationwide average more than $51,000 a year.

“Cellular Sales provides a platform for the local sales professionals to earn a great living in a period of tough economics,” said Willingham. “We are committed to recruiting the best personnel so that we can continue to provide the best customer service while meeting wireless needs.”

The South Lamar store will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
