Pantech Element lands at AT&T for $299.99 on contract
We went hands-on with the Pantech Element tablet back during CES, and it was an interesting little device. If you have been waiting for the tablet to land in your local ATT store so you could grab one, your time is now. The tablet is officially available on ATT on or off contract. The on-contract price for the element is $299.99 with the obligatory 2-year data contract.
If you don’t want to deal with contracts, you can purchase the Element at $449.99 with no contract. I think that no contract price is a bit high, but likely, that was done to push people to the contract version. If you missed the details the first item around, the tablet has a waterproof design to survive the elements. The screen is an 8-inch unit with a resolution of 1024 x 768. The battery inside the device is a 6400mAh unit good for up to 12 hours of use and 25 days on standby. The tablet weighs 16.57-ounces and measures 8.36 x 6.12 x 0.42 inches. The processor is an APQ 8060 running 1.5GHz packing in dual-cores. Storage onboard is 16GB, expandable to 32GB, and the machine has 1GB of RAM. It will work on 2G, 3G, and 4G HSPA+ networks. The rear camera is a 5MP unit, and the front is a 2MP unit. The tablet runs Android 3.2.
