AT&T Names Marissa Shorenstein President of AT&T New York




/PRNewswire/ – ATT today announced Marissa Shorenstein as president, ATT New York. Shorenstein will oversee ATT’s legislative and regulatory objectives as well as guide ATT’s public and external affairs strategies across the state.

“Marissa brings to ATT a deep understanding of city and state government and an expertise in public affairs,” said David Condit, president of state legislative and regulatory affairs for ATT. “Under her leadership, ATT will continue to work with our customers, public officials and community leaders to provide the best possible service and link to the telecommunications industry while simultaneously serving as a model corporate citizen across the State of New York.”

Prior to this assignment, Shorenstein served as President and CEO, Marissa Shorenstein LLC where she led Public Affairs for ATT in New York and New Jersey. Shorenstein served as Director of Communications for Andrew Cuomo’s successful campaign for Governor of New York in 2010 and Press Secretary and Deputy Director of Communications for the State of New York under Governor David A. Paterson. She previously worked for former Vice President Al Gore, former General Wesley Clark and former New York State Comptroller H. Carl McCall. Shorenstein also served as spokeswoman and Senior Manager for Strategic Planning and Corporate Communications for the New York Jets during their bid to build a stadium on Manhattan’s West Side.

In her role as head of Public Affairs for ATT, New York and New Jersey, Shorenstein helped the company expand its relationships with key community and public leaders, enhancing ATT’s reputation and brand while helping the company achieve its legislative priorities.

Shorenstein serves on the Advisory Board of the Joan Shorenstein Center for Press, Politics and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Board of Directors of the Phoenix House and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Next Generation Board.

Shorenstein will be located in New York City and Albany.
