Another beautiful day at Pebble Beach
There are a few more clouds in the sky but it’s another perfect day for scoring at the ATT Pebble Beach National Pro Am.
Tiger Woods is playing the easiest of the three courses, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, today. It’s his first competitive round there. He’s back to even par through four holes with a bogey that offset his opening birdie. The par 70 played to a 68.9 stroke average during the first round Thursday but it has only three par fives for Woods to attack. Charlie Wi set the pace there with a course record 61 Thursday.
PGA Tour rookie Danny Lee birdied his first hole at Spyglass Hill to get to a tournament-leading 10-under par.
Steve Elkington withdrew with a rib injury after five holes.
