America tie at Tecos, Morelia beat San Luis

Estudiantes Tecos have moved off the foot of the Mexican Clausura by claiming their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Club America.

Fredy Bareiro put the hosts in front shortly before half-time, but Christian Benitez equalised for the visitors just two minutes into the second period.

The point was enough to lift America up to second in the early standings, a point behind leaders San Luis, who lost 2-0 at Morelia.

Jaime Lozano Espin opened the scoring after ten minutes and Joao Rojas sealed the win 18 minutes from time.
